Infant - 5th Grade. For information on baptism, see Sacraments.
FPC has a vibrant Children's Ministry where kids learn about God and have fun doing it. We would love for your children to join us. For more information, contact Mary Park, Director of Christian Education.
Nursery: Newborns through three year-olds are welcome to attend the nursery from 8:45 am-12:15 pm while their parents attend worship and Sunday School. The nursery is staffed by four individuals with years of experience in caring for young children and have completed training through our Child and Youth Protection Policy. The nursery meets in Rooms 105 and 106.
Children’s Worship: Children age 4 through first grade are invited to attend Children’s Worship. This is offered during both the Open Door and Sanctuary services. Children attend the beginning of worship with their families and then are invited to exit with our Children’s Ministry staff for their own worship experience where they will engage in the biblical narrative through storytelling and play. Children can be picked up immediately after worship in Room 206.

Rising 3rd-5th graders
Come join the fun as we embark on 100% Chance of Rain! This year’s mini-music camp will perform this great little musical about the love God demonstrated with forgiveness and new life. For four days we rehearse and sing, create wonderful art work used as props and stage sets and act our parts to produce an exciting show!
Kids in Action July 10-13
Kids in Action takes rising 4th and 5th graders out into the Richmond metro area to serve at local ministries across the region. Kids come together with their peers, volunteers, and those working in non-profits to discover the outreach opportunities that exist in their backyard. Previous Kids in Action projects have included working in the fields at Shalom Farms, volunteering at Clare’s Camp an outreach of the Peter Paul Development Center, serving at George Mason Elementary, baking cookies for Kairos Prison Ministry, and visiting residents at Westminster Canterbury. Kids in Action will be held daily July 10-13 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Children are asked to bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle each day.
SUNDAY SCHOOL begins at 9:45 a.m., September 18th through May 21st!
Our children’s Sunday School classes use Deep Blue, an engaging curriculum that takes children through the Bible with fun lessons that help them become part of the story. Each class will be using curriculum that is specifically designed for their age, so that they can encounter God through storytelling, activities, and discussions.
PRESCHOOL CLASS (ages 4-5, Room 206 )
The preschool class is using Deep Blue preschool curriculum. A music component, Wee Sing choir, is also part of the Sunday School Hour.
GRADES K-2 (Room 207)

GRADES 3-5 (Room 215)
