FPC has a vibrant Children's Ministry where kids learn about God and have fun doing it. We would love for your children to join us. For more information, contact Mary Park, Director of Christian Education.
Nursery: Newborns through three year-olds are welcome to attend the nursery from 8:45 am-12:15 pm while their parents attend worship and Sunday School. The nursery is staffed by four individuals with years of experience in caring for young children and have completed training through our Child and Youth Protection Policy. The nursery meets in Rooms 105 and 106.
Children’s Worship: Children age 4 through first grade are invited to attend Children’s Worship. This is offered during both the Open Door and Sanctuary services. Children attend the beginning of worship with their families and then are invited to exit with our Children’s Ministry staff for their own worship experience where they will engage in the biblical narrative through storytelling and play. Children can be picked up immediately after worship in Room 206.
Meets during the school year—note exceptions above for "Gathering 'Round the Table" Sep. 17 - Oct. 22
Our children’s Sunday School classes use an engaging curriculum that takes children through the Bible with fun lessons that help them become part of the story. Each class will be using curriculum that is specifically designed for their age, so that they can encounter God through storytelling, activities, and discussions.
PRESCHOOL CLASS (ages 4-5, Room 206 )
A music component, Wee Sing choir, is also part of the Sunday School Hour.
GRADES K-2 (Room 207)

At the conclusion of the class, children will receive a Bible during worship on October 22.
GRADES 3-5 (Room 215)
The class delves further into discussions and activities as children seek to encounter God in the world.

Gathering ‘round the Table!
FPC Children’s Ministry is excited to introduce “Gathering ‘round the Table” this fall. This special 6-week offering will be held during the Sunday School hour September 17 - October 22 from 9:45-10:45am, meeting in the Fellowship Hall. This class is open to everyone from age 4 - grade 5 and adults. We will share in an activity, continental breakfast, Bible Study, and prayer around the table.
Parents, if you are not attending another class, we encourage you to attend with your child(ren). We also welcome empty-nesters, singles, and others to share in this unique opportunity. Traditional age/graded Children’s Sunday School classes will not be meeting during this period as we kick off the season with this exciting alternative.
No need to sign up, just show up! (But if you plan to attend, let us know below so that we can be ready.)
A Note From Our Wee Sing and Praise Kids Choir Directors
We are so excited for a new year of music in Sunday School! Every child, Age 4 through Grade 2, who comes to Sunday School (9:45-10:45) will learn more about the lessons Jesus teaches us through songs and games. There is no sign up or extra activity to add to your weekly calendar!
The dates we will sing in Sunday Services are posted outside the Sunday School rooms and we will be in touch through this newsletter throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you and your family at church on Sundays.
