Safety

We are committed to providing a secure and healthy environment for everyone who gathers here.

Children and Youth

Nurturing children and youth is a primary way in which we live out our mission at First Presbyterian Church. Whether your child is engaged in a Faith Formation activity, attending First Presbyterian Preschool, or participating in any event at FPC, our promise is to ensure they are safe at all times.

FPC’s commitment to provide a safe and secure environment for our youngest disciples is explicitly spelled out in our Child and Youth Protection Policy and Procedures. Accordingly, staff, leaders, teachers, and volunteers who work with children and youth must first complete our training program in how to create safe spaces.

COVID-19

Since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, the health and well-being of everyone who gathers here to worship, study, learn, and work has been the highest priority. A COVID-19 Task Force, made up of FPC members, has provided guidance at each stage of the pandemic, and continues to monitor conditions in our community. Our COVID19 policy remains in effect:

Updated on April 24, 2023:

FPC no longer has any specific COVID-19 restrictions. Masks are optional and available at the door.
Individuals with symptoms suggesting COVID-19 infection or exposure to COVID-19 are encouraged to test for COVID-19 and follow CDC guidelines. Individuals at increased risk for serious complications of COVID-19 infection are encouraged to consult with their healthcare provider for appropriate precautions.

COVID-19 Task Force Members: Jae Brooks, M.D.; Heather Cooper, Ann Nickels, Jim Purser, David Williams, and Rev. Amy Starr Redwine
