Since 1956, First Presbyterian Preschool has provided a nurturing, faith-based learning environment for young children and their families. Established as an educational ministry of First Presbyterian Church and a service to the community, the preschool now serves children ages 12 months through 5 years. As a nonprofit school accredited by the National Accreditation Commission (NAC) and guided by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), First Presbyterian Preschool is committed to helping each child grow physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and intellectually.

We celebrate the unique gifts and experiences each child brings and believe that learning flourishes in a responsive and enriching environment. Through Christian nurture, creative exploration, and age-appropriate activities, our teachers encourage curiosity, self-confidence, respect for others, and an appreciation for the diversity of God’s world. We partner closely with families to foster positive relationships and support every child’s development, helping children build a strong foundation for a lifelong love of learning and enthusiastic living.
