FPC's Master Plan

January 22, 2025

In June of 2024, after more than three years of study and prayerful discernment, the Capital Improvements Work Group (CIWG) and the Master Plan Task Force (MPTF) shared a master plan designed to meet the pressing needs of our ministries, including outreach, faith formation, and the preschool. The CIWG identified four priorities: strengthening hospitality, supporting the preschool, caring for our environment, and using our spaces more effectively.

At the direction of the Session, the MPTF partnered with Hopke & Harrison Architects to bring this vision to life. Their design reflects the feedback of our congregation: while the porte cochere and chapel will remain unchanged, most of the plan continues forward.
Now, we are moving ahead with an $8.5 million capital project that addresses these needs in a sustainable and faithful way. This plan reflects both the hopes of our community and the realities of wise stewardship, ensuring that our spaces are welcoming, accessible, and equipped to serve future generations.

This page will be updated as the campaign progresses, construction plans develop, and milestones are reached. We invite you to follow along, celebrate, and join in as together we steward these gifts for lasting impact.

Making Your Commitment

Every gift makes a difference in bringing this vision to life. By making a pledge, you help us plan responsibly and move forward with confidence as we create spaces that welcome, nurture, and serve.

You can share your commitment by completing the Capital Campaign Pledge Form. Whether you choose to give in a single gift or spread your pledge over time, your generosity is a faithful investment in the ministry of First Presbyterian Church, today and for generations to come.
Thank you for prayerfully considering how you will take part in this campaign. Together, our pledges build the foundation for what God is doing among us.

Questions Along the Way

We know a project of this size brings a lot of excitement and sometimes a few questions, too. If you’d like to learn more about the campaign, the plans, or the pledge process, we’d love to talk with you.

Please reach out to our Capital Campaign Steering Committee Co-Chairs, Jay Bryson and Elizabeth Darling, or Kendra Crabtree, Acting Executive Director of Administration. We’re here to listen, share details, and walk with you as together we take this important step in the life of our church.
