Small Groups

Small Groups are groups of 8-12 people who meet together for Christian growth and support.  Anyone may start a new small group. To contact a group leader, use MyFPC, or contact the church.

Needlework Group
The Presbyterian Women Needlework Group is an informal opportunity to get together to work on needlework projects, while sharing expertise and fellowship. We also make prayer shawls and blankets to bring to those in the hospital. We meet twice a month year-round, 10am to noon on the first Thursday and the third Tuesday of each month, in the parlor.  Needlework beginners are welcome! To learn more, contact Karen Sigel.

Men's Fellowship Group
Join the men of the church for a delicious breakfast the third Tuesday of each month, September – May at 8:30 am in the church Fellowship Hall! Tuesday, September 18 will be our first gathering this fall.

This group meets for breakfast and fellowship and members give updates on their church activities and/or ministries. They also deliver Meals on Wheels lunches twice a month, usher for memorial services as needed and visit elderly and ill members of the church.

The group welcomes new members to participate in one or all of their activities. Contact Ray Ryan to learn more.

Brothers in Christ
First and third Fridays, 7:00-8:00 am, Aunt Sarah’s Pancake House in midtown Richmond. This is a small group fellowship for men in which members can share their thoughts on various spiritual issues. Leadership is rotated throughout the group. The topic for the morning is selected by the volunteer leader from a reading or a personal experience that raises questions of faith for discussion. Contact Jim Irby to learn more.

Presbyterian Women Circles
Circles are the heart of PW.  In these small groups, you find friends, fellowship and fun.  Plus they provide a great place to share your talents in service to God and to grow your faith.  Click here to learn more.

Young Adult Small Group
We are a community of 20 and 30 somethings (single and married!) seeking connection, both with God and with one another.  ALL are welcome to join us.  We offer small group Bible studies, service projects, and social gatherings designed to engage and connect young adults with God, one another, and the larger church. Click here to learn more.

Men's WOW Small Group (currently full)
Second and Fourth Wednesdays, 7:30-8:30 am, Church Library. All men are invited to join the WOW Small Group--Words of Wisdom--which meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays with hot coffee and discussion. We are often WOWed by the guidance of the Lord Jesus Christ, and by the wisdom and wit of one another. This is an informal roundtable discussion of how God is at work in our respective faith journeys.  Members rotate as discussion leaders. We encourage men to visit us a few times before "joining." Please contact Randy Smith to learn more.

Monday Morning Women's Bible Study (currently full)
This small group chooses a book of the Bible to study and uses a curriculum that has a leader's guide.  Prayer, sharing, study, and discussion are all part of their weekly meetings.  Leadership rotates among members of the group.

Tuesday Morning Men's Bible Study
Men share the latest sporting news, read and reflect on the scripture that will be used in the upcoming worship service on Sunday and end with prayer. First and third Tuesdays of the month (September through May) at 7:15 a.m. Contact Bill Neal to learn more.
