I grew up as a preacher’s kid in small-town South Carolina, loving any opportunity to read liturgy in worship or to help plan Youth Sunday. I graduated with a B.A. in Religious Studies from Davidson College where I met my husband, Alex, and I later earned my M.Div. from Union Presbyterian Seminary. My time at Union was enriched by my position as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at FPC, a role that shaped my sense of call and deepened my love for ministry with children and families. I love the ways children remind us that faith invites curiosity, wonder, and joy.

Now serving as a Covenant Pastor, I am blessed to be in continued ministry with this faith community. Holding to the Reformed tradition, we believe that God’s claim on our lives exists before we can do anything. What a gift it is to live into this truth alongside disciples of every age. We hold to the promise that we are all claimed by God.

I also find joy in long walks soundtracked by podcasts or Lake Street Dive, any chance to go out to eat, Peloton classes played at max volume (friend me @tacobellgirl), and reruns of The Andy Griffith Show. 

Alex and I love calling Richmond home with our Russell terrier, Pippa, and our orange tabby, Fergie.
