About Amy

I grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and attended Second Presbyterian Church, where my faith was nurtured and my questions and doubts were openly received. I attended Middlebury College in Vermont, where I became a religion major after taking my first religion class and graduated with a degree in religion and classics before heading to seminary.

At Princeton Seminary, I entered a wonderful community of classmates and professors and spent a year working as a pastoral intern at a church in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I also met and married Derek Redwine. After serving churches in Akron and Cleveland, Ohio, I was called to FPC as pastor and head of staff in 2019. I have loved joining in ministry with the faithful, curious, and compassionate members and staff of FPC as together we seek to be grounded, growing, and generous disciples of Jesus.

Derek and I have three children, two of whom are in college and one who is still at home. We enjoy family movie nights, watching baseball, gardening, and paddle boarding on the James River. Besides spending time with family, my favorite ways to recharge are reading on our porch, trying out new recipes, and running while listening to podcasts.
