- For fun I like: party-planning and decorating, tablescaping and showing other people about how to entertain for their families and friends!
I grew up in Bon Air in a large, creative family. A BA degree from Lynchburg College and an MA from Virginia Commonwealth University prepared me for teaching English and writing. After eight years in the classroom, I stayed home to raise my two sons and was a frequent volunteer at their schools and at church. I began working at FPC as a part-time administrative assistant when the boys went to school, and as they grew older, began working full-time.
During the almost-twenty years I have worked at FPC, I've done every type of support work except bookkeeping! My large family continues to be a daily joy, and two young grandsons have added to that. I am an active member of Second Presbyterian and its choir, teach classes on party-giving through Chesterfield County Adult Education, and give presentations to groups on how to host all types of celebrations.
