George Mason Elementary

Help children. Change lives.

VOLUNTEER at George Mason Elementary School!

FPC has been a community partner with George Mason Elementary School for 18 years. We see the difference our presence makes at this school for the children, parents and staff, and invite you to join in!

Lunch Buddies meet with students weekly at lunch time. They have an opportunity to get to know students while eating lunch, having conversation, and playing games. (weekly)

1st/ 2nd Grade Readers provide one-on-one reading support to students needing a little help. The students work on developing new reading skills and goal setting. (when you are available).

Classroom Assistants work with small groups of students to help them reach their academic goals. The teacher provides the activities. (2-4 times/month)

K-2 Cadre Hosts bring breakfast, greet families, and lead families though a literacy activity. (monthly)

Library Assistants help organize and shelve books and assist the librarian with special projects as needed.(when you are available)

Volunteers will be available to answer your questions after Sunday worship on September 22 & 29. Look for them in the Recreation Room after 8:45am Open Door worship or in the library after 11am worship.
