RISC (Richmonders Involved to Strengthen our Communities) is an interracial, interfaith, non-partisan organization which brings congregations together to meet God’s call to “do justice” in the greater Richmond region.

On April 1, 2016, my term began as Interim Pastor. An initial interim report was provided on May 25, 2016. The first task was to listen to leadership, which led to the formation of five Task Forces: Membership, Organization & Governance, Staff Model, Stewardship, and Worship.

As Dr. Eason reminded us on Palm Sunday, "Maundy" in Maundy Thursday means "mandate," from Jesus' words in John 13: "I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another."
