RISC Assembly October 29

Richmonders Involved to Strengthen our Communities

Housing. Transportation. Racism/Racial Disparity. These serious problems keep our Richmond community from thriving and impact people in our congregation and in our region. On Monday, October 29, your votes will decide which problem we address next, through RISC!

Please join us at the RISC Community Problems Assembly on the 29th at 6:30pm at Ebenezer Baptist Church (216 West Leigh Street, 23220) and VOTE on the next community problem you want to address. Your votes decide which problem we’ll tackle through the power of organized people in the RVA faith community!

Through RISC, our congregation joins with 21 others to solve serious problems at the root level. Together, we’ve ensured our community has the resources to help job-seekers, children dealing with trauma, and students learning to read. Now we’re ready to research and take action on a new problem, and we hope you’ll be involved.

FPC members and friends will carpool from the church at 6:00pm. For more information or to let us know you plan to carpool, contact Peggy Wright 804/257-7347.
